THE INCARNATION OF CHRIST IN YOU

BE DONE WITH BENT GOSPELS

tradition33.001

If we are living in the knowledge of good and evil – which we are if we are living in the law, we will be captured in a mindset of separation from God, even though we are not separated. We are not separated and included. Included because of the cross, the at-one-ment, and the incorporation of the self into the communion that is the fellowship of the trinity. You are one with God in Jesus the Person. Jesus is the New Covenant.

All belong, but not all participate in this belonging in their hearts and minds.

KEEPING CLOSE TO JESUS
We might talk of being of ‘the one loaf’ but can also contradict ourselves in other talk that betrays the fact that we live in a mindset of separation, even though God has made us one with Himself in Jesus.
 A COMMON UN-GOSPEL
You will hear people talk of ‘Keeping close to Jesus.’ This implies that the Christian life is our success in ‘keeping close to Jesus’ in order that we may participate in the salvation that is ours in Him. So the Believer must not only get right with God but right with God’s Son by maintaining self-action to be worthy of Him.
The effort expended in attempting this self-recommendation  can become the source of a Believer’s self-worth. But self-made grace is a parody of grace.
GENERALLY ACCEPTED HUMBUG
A ‘god-contract’ is a version of the Christian walk, but quite it removes us from the joy of conscious oneness with Christ and throws us back on our own resources. It reverts us to a subtle version of law-keeping in which we are no more successful  than anyone was at keeping the law.
We do not belong in God because we have repented enough. Belong because Christ’s atonement has included us in His Life in God. Jesus invites us to join Him in His life. He is there for the world and His invitation is ‘Come to Me.’ The fact is that we do belong. Everyone does. What we need to do is to agree with this already achieved belonging and live in the belonging that has been placed as a garment over us. Or we can continue in the fruitless independent/self-effort that we call ‘our faith’.
We can ignore our inheritance and roam about in religion as a peasant prince, or we can water it down. Or say ‘you are a hard man – nothing could be that good’, so we leave it in the ground and continue as descendants of Adam instead of sons of God in Christ.
INCLUSION
Baxster Kruger expressed the truth of Christ’s gospel when he assures us that, “
The goal of the Trinity is inclusion.  The purpose of the Father, Son and Spirit in creation is to draw us within the circle of their shared life so that we too can experience it with them.” (1) Baxter says similar in another places when he urges us to realise that accepting Christ is less about our accepting Him and more about our agreeing that we have been drawn already into His life and communion.
JESUS IS YOUR LIFE
You are included full stop. People are not included in God, once they have repented enough and are not accepted only if they are consistent in their walk. They are received into the fellowship of God because Jesus is them. His fellowship with Father is theirs. Jesus is Bob, Mary, Jane, Steve and Maud. This is the vicarious humanity of Christ who is for us, represents us and is us. This is oneness in spirit and truth.
‘Jesus receives you as you are. Not as you should be.’ Be clear that our inclusion into the fellowship of God and our learning to live in His communion is something achieved by God and not by us. Sure we can facilitate it by agreeing with it and stepping into it. But it is enjoyed because we are baptised into God’s fellowship as a way of life and rise continually from this ocean of life itself as more fully ourselves as sons of God. Ray Anderson writes, “
The idea that God did what he did for us while we still his enemies [is] profound .. it made me realize that there is no such thing as a “them” and “us” in God’s eyes, because God has done what he has done for his enemies, which includes everyone.
SPEAK A CONSISTENT MESSAGE
Don’t bleat about belonging while living in separation.
This is why we need to live in what God has done. Why we should discern real Christ’s from false christ’s and why we need to be alert to be sons and daughters of God rather than paddocks of tares that have been misled by the Father of Lies.
FIG LEAVES ARE OUT
Don’t wear the kings new clothes  claiming to be of the Body of Christ, yet living in a separated mindset because of poor teaching and false doctrine. Paul warns of ‘other gospels’ that appear as false revelations that pollute people’s minds and place them under a curse. The curse is none other than the delusion that is their partisan mindset of separation from God. Let’s be clear. If we are still living in the law we have a mindset of Adamic separation from God and remain under the stultifying curse of the fall.
Get rid of the assumption that there is a separation between God and man. There is no separation. If there seems to be it belongs to the side of man, who perceives the separation because of his sin. (2) Live from His life as yours instead of your efforts to overcome sin.
‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20. We do well to realise what is already ours.
